Living out your faith as a young person doesn’t have to mean cutting yourself off from the rest of the world; but it does mean that the way you look at the world is unique—which is why I started this blog.
Posts on this blog [usually] fit into 7 categories (…except when they don’t):
- Youthful Antics
The things us young people do, all in the name of being young - Dating & Relationships
Dating like both a young person and a Catholic - Pop Culture
If & when I get around to listening to/seeing the latest music and movies, I might jot down some reflections on the truth, beauty, and morality of them from a Catholic perspective - Stuff Catholics Do
Common questions, misunderstandings, and basic theology - You & God
What growing in relationship with God means for today’s young Catholic - Ask Mary
Your chance to ask me anything - Other Rants
What I label a post if it doesn’t perfectly fit one of the above categories

Hi Mary. I’m older and Catholic (52), and I believe in the truth of my Catholic faith too. Loved the piece on “Catholic and Gay.” Thought the person who wrote it expressed the most beautiful thoughts I’ve heard on the subject. Thanks for posting it.

Mary….This post shared on a friends page bought a long 98 post conversation with several athiests. I read them all and it was stimulating as well as an educational debate! These people were mostly high schoolers! Keep up the blog to help others to better understand the Catholic faith!
too cool – too cool! Mary, this is truly an awesome blog. You’re a great witness to the Faith! Keep up the nice work.

Just found your blog today and want to say I really like it! I liked your “7 steps to being young and catholic” in particular, but i am going to “explore” a little more later. so true what you said abotu making friends with the “old” people! i do a program at my grandparents church, and even though i was placed in the “young” people’s group everyone else is old enough to be my parents! (or at least close to that). even still, i;ve gotten to meet some great people and build some good friendships.
Just found your blog through a facebook post, Its great we pray that God blesses you tremendously, protects and keeps you from the snares of the evil one.. (As he usually attacks those seeking the Lords will)
Hi Mary!
Just found your blog, a friend of mine mentioned on facebook your post about not wearing bikini, and I’m glad I found it today, and not tomorrow!
I’ve been reading though, and I feel like praying.
Thanks! I will keep your blog in my favourite list, and will keep you in my prayers.
God bless you!
Maria
